5 Signs You're Not Eating as Healthy You Think by Holistic Nutritionist Sharisse Dalby

If you were to rate your nutrition on a scale from 1 to 10, with one being the worst and ten being the best, where would you rate yours?

Seriously – think about it.

It’s important to take an honest assessment of your nutritional habits.

So take a second and think.

I ask this because most people rate themselves between an eight to ten, yet they still struggle with not feeling healthy, or not having energy, or suffering from moodiness and so on.

But there’s a simple explanation for this …

You’re probably not eating as healthy as you think you are.

Watch today’s video to understand what on earth I’m talking about and how you can find out if you’re actually eating healthy for you or not!

Not up for a video today? I totally get it, just scroll down to read the info.

5 Signs You’re Not Eating as Healthy as You Think!

There’s no doubt you are eating as healthy as the general population tells you to, but chances are you still don’t feel as healthy as you know you should.

So the question isn’t “Are you eating healthy?” but actually, “Are you eating healthy for you?”!

Here are five signs that you’re not eating as healthy as you think:

1. You’re a moody mess.

Not feeling as emotionally stable as you usual are and not acting like your normal self are both signs of a possible imbalance.

This could be angry outbursts, anxiety, depression, or other mood changes.

2. Your digestive system is freaking out.

An upset digestive system is a great motivator to deal with any food issues, eh?

If you’re struggling with constipation, bloating, gas, diarrhea, or any other sort of digestive issue – start a food journal and try and find out what foods may be causing this distress.

3. Weight fluctuations (loss or gain).

When your weight is changing, either by gain or loss, and you haven’t made any dietary changes to encourage it – you need to assess your eating.

This means losing weight when you haven’t altered your eating, or gaining weight when you are trying to lose weight.

4. Where art thou, oh sleep?

If you wake up through the night, have problems falling asleep, or wake up when you should still be sleeping – we need to chat. This problem needs to be dealt with stat because sleep is so incredibly important.

So if you struggle with sleep, try thinking about how your food choices might be affecting it.

5. Cravings for dayzzz.

If you have cravings, it’s a huge sign that you’re not eating healthy for you and your body.

Cravings give insights into an imbalance – they are an outward sign of an inward problem.

Start logging your cravings to see if you can pinpoint any problems.

What can you do if you’re worried about an imbalance? You can log your food for a week and look for patterns or you can work with me and I can work to find the root cause of your health issue.

Either way, you can’t “personalize” your eating if you strictly follow what the general population says is healthy. Play around with foods, pay attention to your body, and start learning what works best for your body!
