We are living in a strange time right now.
And while the news or uncertainty may have you feeling scared or anxious, I want to encourage you not to panic.
COVID-19 is serious. And of course you need to take extra precautions to protect yourself and those around you. But it’s important to remain calm and stay smart about how you deal with it.
Here’s what’s important to understand about COVID-19 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
- Anyone is at risk of catching COVID-19, but for most people the risk of becoming seriously ill is quite low.
- Those most at risk are older adults and those with serious chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, or diabetes.
- The signs are fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Also, if you have been in close contact with someone who was diagnosed or they or you have traveled in the last 14 days.
- It is passed mostly through person-to-person transmission. It’s possible to spread it before being symptomatic. It can also spread through surfaces or objects that have been touched by someone who is infected.
While you may not be at risk for a serious case of COVID-19, there are many high risk individuals around you.
Don’t panic, though. Instead take steps to protect your mental health during this anxious time. And protect your immune system to be preventative and stop its spread.
Here are some suggestions to help you out:

As hard as it may feel, I’m urging you to not panic. Taking measures to prevent contracting or spreading the virus is necessary to stop the pandemic. Most people will contract it but will be fine. Do your part to protect those at risk.
Otherwise, take this time as an opportunity to slow down and catch your breath from life.
I’d love to help you strengthen your immune system or address your health right now. Book an online consultation with me and let’s work together!
PLEASE NOTE
Due to the nature of my work as a healthcare practitioner, I see a lot of clients with weak immune systems. I’m also exposed to a lot of sick people. To protect my clients and those around me, I’m only offering online appointments at this time. (Video or Phone)
Please understand that this is NOT out of fear or anxiety, but my civic duty to protect those at risk. This decision was not made lightly but is in the best interest of everyone around me.
Thank you for your understanding!
