Q: What are your qualifications?
A: I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist (RNT) and Natural Nutrition – Clinical Practitioner (NNCP) in good standing with the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners (CANNP).
Q: Nutritionist vs Dietitian – what’s the difference?
A: These two can easily be confused – but they are completely different.
First of all, not everyone can call themselves a dietitian. A dietitian is certified through an accredited University. They follow strict protocols, therefor are required to follow the Canada Food Guide and unable to personalize based on a holistic approach.
A nutritionist, well, anyone can lay claim to that name – but most aren’t trained, so always check qualifications!
A registered nutritionist has attended an approved school and completed their certification, is registered and in good standing with an outside party, and does not follow the food guide. Why? Because we know health is individual, everyone’s needs are different and that it is about more than just food – it’s about lifestyle.

Q: I’m local – can I see you in-person or just online?
A: Due to COVID-19, I’m currently accepting clients online only.
Q: How do I know which package to choose?
A: Your best bet is to start with a FREE Introductory Introductory Call where we can discuss your health struggles and goals, you can ask questions, and we can see if we’re a good fit.
In that call I’ll advice you on which package I recommend.
Q: Is a Nutritionist worth the investment?
A: Absolutely! Your needs are individual, and so is the protocol your body needs for healing.
Having a registered nutritionist assess your health history, food intake, nutrient assessment, and lifestyle habits provides you with an individualized plan that suits your unique needs. This is an invaluable resource.
Q: Does this online nutrition thing actually work?
A: It sure does! Through video or phone we get great interaction. But the best part is how you get complete access to me, via a messaging portal in my free app, whenever you need.
This also allows more flexible hours to connect whether daytime or evenings. Goodbye work hour appointment pains!
Q: Why do you require several appointments? Can’t you just give me what I need at the first appointment?
A: Nutrition is complicated, and so is your body and its individual needs. With each client I dedicate several hours weekly to investigate and research so that I can provide accurate, science-based nutritional advice that will work for your personal needs. Without spending a few appointments to gather information, the advice I give you would be inaccurate and ineffective. I don’t like to waste your time or your money! When you come to me you expect results, so I put in the effort to make sure that happens.
Q: How quickly will I see results?
A: That’s really based on how detailed, honest, and upfront you are with information, as well as how willing you are to make the changes suggested. Most of my clients begin seeing small changes within the first couple of sessions, with the bigger changes coming in the following few days to months (depending on how much we are having to fix!). Remember, healing is about more than just nutrition and it’s important you factor in lifestyle also. By taking this into consideration, the food and supplements will have a dramatic effect.
Q: If you’re a Certified Plant-Based Cook, why do you eat meat?
A: I don’t feel the need to label my, or anyone else’s, eating habits. I’m an advocate for listening to your body and sometimes that means eating meat, or carbohydrates, or fats, or sticking to plant-based foods. Most importantly, I want to encourage you to remove labels and be fluid with what your body needs as it changes through different ages and stages. For that reason I am not strictly plant-based, however I do gravitate towards a more plant-based lifestyle and chose to become certified in plant-based cooking because of that.
Q: You mentioned that you’ve authored a book, can you tell me more about it and where to find it?
A: Absolutely! I’ve written The One-Pot Alkaline Diet Cookbook which includes 100 alkaline recipes that are all plant-based and gluten-free. It will quickly become a staple in your kitchen because each recipe is made in only one-pot, requires 10 easy-to-find ingredients (or less), and can be prepped in around 10 minutes.
You can purchase it through Amazon or find it in store at your local Chapters, Costco, Target, Barnes & Noble, Indigo, and more.
Q: Where can I connect with you more?
A: You can find me on Facebook and Instagram. You can also check out my blog or sign up for my weekly e-mails.
