I think we can all agree that getting our kids to eat healthy can be just plain hard.
You know, the pull-your-hair-out kind of hard.
With my kids, they usually complain about the snack being too small, like three meals a day and two snacks just doesn’t cut it. Shoot me.
Since having the twins eight years ago, I’ve found simplicity in snacks and I’ve found my creative edge – just don’t expect to see it at every snack.
For simplicity sake, these are our go-to snacks:
- a piece of fruit
- trailmix
- veggies and hummus
- larabar
- popcorn
- apples and cinnamon
- green juice
- celery and peanut butter
- yogurt and berries
- smoothie
