FacebookPinTweet

Have you ever wondered why you’re so tired lately?
Or why pooping 2-3 times weekly isn’t healthy enough?
Or, you’ve noticed a change in your mood and you’re not sure why?

These could all be signs of poor or sluggish digestion. But you’re not worried, because your symptoms aren’t impacting your lifestyle. Well, not too much, anyways.

Except that you’re drinking multiple cups of coffee a day just to stay awake.
And you’re noticing your pants are getting a little tighter from not pooping daily.
And it’s not that fun to have your moods go from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows.

So, maybe your symptoms are affecting you more than you realize.

Poor digestion leaves you vulnerable to more or worsening of symptoms and damage to the gut. This can lead to autoimmune disorders or other diseases.

It’s important to never leave symptoms to fester, no matter how small they may seem. They’re your body’s way of giving you an outward sign of an inward problem. So it’s your job to listen … and respond!

If you’re not pooping 2-3 times daily, then you’re constipated. Proper elimination is critical to a healthy digestion. It helps clear out toxins, bacteria, and excess hormones to prevent toxic overload. Leaving your energy to be used for efficient digestion.

Tip: Eat at least 6 cups of fruits and vegetables daily to get enough fibre in your diet. If it doesn’t help you poop, we need to chat!

You’re Fatigued

Did you know that you should wake up feeling rested and energized? If you’re fatigued, it’s a clear sign that you have sluggish or poor digestion. It may be a nutritional imbalance, food sensitivity, low stomach acid, or leaky gut.

Tip: Aim to be asleep by 10:30pm each night to improve digestion. And plan to wake up at the same time each day. Try this for 30 days to see if your digestion and energy improve.

You’re Moody

Hormones play a role in your mood, but your gut regulates your hormones. That means your digestion plays a big role in stabilizing your mood (and hormones). If your moody or struggling with depression or anxiety, you need to reboot your digestion.

Tip: Focus on incorporating healthy fats for hormonal support and to lower inflammation. Nuts, seeds, avocado, oils, olives, and fatty fish are all helpful.

If you’re still not sure if you’re digestion is sluggish or not, make sure you take the free quiz to get a better idea.

But you can’t stop there. You need to take action to improve your digestion. This helps prevent gut damage and more or worsening of symptoms. Focusing on your gut health will help you feel energized, healthy, and happy.
