You’re Constipated
If you’re not pooping 2-3 times daily, then you’re constipated. Proper elimination is critical to a healthy digestion. It helps clear out toxins, bacteria, and excess hormones to prevent toxic overload. Leaving your energy to be used for efficient digestion.
Tip: Eat at least 6 cups of fruits and vegetables daily to get enough fibre in your diet. If it doesn’t help you poop, we need to chat!
You’re Fatigued
Did you know that you should wake up feeling rested and energized? If you’re fatigued, it’s a clear sign that you have sluggish or poor digestion. It may be a nutritional imbalance, food sensitivity, low stomach acid, or leaky gut.
Tip: Aim to be asleep by 10:30pm each night to improve digestion. And plan to wake up at the same time each day. Try this for 30 days to see if your digestion and energy improve.
You’re Moody
Hormones play a role in your mood, but your gut regulates your hormones. That means your digestion plays a big role in stabilizing your mood (and hormones). If your moody or struggling with depression or anxiety, you need to reboot your digestion.
Tip: Focus on incorporating healthy fats for hormonal support and to lower inflammation. Nuts, seeds, avocado, oils, olives, and fatty fish are all helpful.
